Funky Friday Challenge

This week I have still been clearing out stuff - yes still "decluttereing" - it may take me some time - Dawn has witnessed the my craft room / hubbie's studdy and she can vouch that it is like a TARDIS.

What I would like to know is where does it all come from? I have paper that breeds paper. I have already taken a bootfull of paper to the recycling and I have a 7 seater car. I will have another bootfull by the end of the weekend too.

Anyway onto the this weeks Funky Friday Challenge.

Another colour combination with a theme!

Here is mine : I was a bit fed up of snow so decided to add glitter to appear as frosting on the rose. Just mounted this set and I love it.

Using the stamp-a-ma-jig to add the highlight on the roses is right up my street. I also use my stamp-a-ma-jig to mount my stamps so my stickers are aligned exactly where my stamp is. I know a bit OCD but maybe I will do a tutorial and you can become OCD too!

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: A Rose is a Rose, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Bashful Blue DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon, Light Blue glitter from the Fine Cosmo set.

Click here to see what the rest of the design team came up with and dont forget to join in the fun.

I am looking forward to tomorrow as I am off to the Papermill for a crop - still got to decide what I am taking! Can't wait to see all the girls again and catch up with the gossip. Next Saturday I am off to Alford for a Post Christmas Party Crop at Jacqui's. If you have trouble viewing her blog go through internet explorer rather than Firefox. Have LOADS to get organised for that day - looks like we are in for a real treat and will be kept busy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hurray - it Funky Friday again

The week has flown past and I have been busy decluttering - managed to put out 9 bags of "stuff" for the charity collection. Trying so hard to get my craft room - it is really a room that my husband and I share but he has a path to the computer and the rest of the room is a mess with craft bits.

This weeks challenge is a colour combination:

Here is mine - (have a confession to make so keep reading)

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Greenhouse Garden, Occasional Greetings
Cardstock: Rose Red, More Mustard, Pretty in Pink, Garden Green, Whisper White,
Ink: Rose Red, More Mustard, Garden Green
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Word Window punch, Rose Red brads

OK - confession time - I used the wrong green in my orginal design so had to make another card. I still used Greenhouse Garden which is a set I really like. So check back tomorrow to see my other creation.

Thanks for stopping by.

Exciting News - read on.

I am so excited - I am part of a design team.

The Funky Friday Design team - check the blog out

The challenges are set every Friday and will alternate between Sketch, Colour inspiration and Theme.

I can wait for the fun to begin - I have already done my first sample and it has kick started my creativity for the year.

Check back tomorrow to see the new challenge. I would love for you to join in with us and our crafty fun.

Please join in with any of the challenges on the site don't forget it's just for fun!

I have been up and down to school three times today and had to push my youngest in the buggy! Wonder if they do snow chains for buggies? What a workout that has been.

Forgot the raincover at lunchtime and poor Tristan was covered in snow but still managed to fall asleep!

Anyway time for a quick card that has been inspired by a gift from my husband.

David bought me a fab hat when he was in Birmingham for a business trip. It was from the German Christmas Market and I love it. I do like hats and it has been so useful in this weather.

I have wanted to make an easel card for ages. Hope you like it.

Supplies used:

Stamps: Love You Much
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink, Pink Passion
Ink: Pink Passion
Tools: Eyelet Border Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by and dont forget to join in the challenges.
