It's that time again!!! - Stampin' Up! Retiral List

I seem to have been awol for such a long time - was away from home for the whole of the summer holidays.

We spent the last week of the holidays cruising on the Norfolk Broads - what a relaxing way to travel and mooring up in the middle of broads and letting the waves lull you to sleep. Although the down side was that once i was back on dry land and lying in bed it still felt like I was moving.

Living out of a bag for 6 weeks is not ideal so was glad to get home and relax for just a wee while.

But now it is the beggining of September so I need to get back to work.

Click on the link in the side bar to see the retiral list and contact me to place an order.

Not only does the start of September mean bargains to be had but as a Demonstrator I get to preview the new catalgoue and pre-order some new goodies to play with!

If you would like your own copy of the new catalogue, you can purchase the catalogue for £5.95 and this will include free first class delivery.

Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Blossoms - Stamping Guide Available

Well then - the house is clean finally - rooms tidied - just got commissions to get done - ready for my MIL arriving in a couple of weeks.

Yes I need that length of time to get organised and sorted!!!!

Anyway been such a long time since I posted.

In April, I carried out training for the Tartan Stamper's in Aberdeen and used one of the new sets from the Mini Catalogue.

BABY BLOSSOMS -very Cath Kidson looking - love this set but admittedly can be quite tricky. The colour scheme that we made was Not quite Navy with Pear Pizzazz. I have used one of the windowpanes on this card to hightlight the delicate flower sprig.

I made up a stamping guide to help and include this sheet with each stamp set I sell. If you would like a copy of this guide please contact me.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

ILWS - Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to the monster In Love With Stamping Forum Mini Catalogue Blog Hop .

There are 56 demonstrators taking part in 4 different hops. To find the other hops visit Erica and she has a list of all demonstrators taking part

If you are starting here, grab a cup of tea and a biscuit or if you have hopped here from Clare's Blog, welcome, and I hope that you liked Clare's creations as much as me.

If you would like a free copy of the New Mini Catalogue then please contact me. Click the link in the side bar to see either a flash version or download a PDF copy.

Here is the first of my creations all based around around the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. These folders are extremely versatile and I have only shown you a couple of ideas to get you started. Interested to learn then contact me and host a Big Shot Workshop.

This was a swap that I created for Regional Demonstrator Training that took place in Edinburgh last week. I have created a similar Mother's Day Card but used pearls for a more feminine look

SUPPLIES:
Stamp: Curly Cute, Occasional Greetings
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Card: Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride
Dies: Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Embossing Folder
Accessories:Silver brads, Corner Rounder, Basics Pearls, Mat Pack, Piercing Tool

I love how the next card turned out. I wanted to use strong colours so teamed up Concord Crush with Tangerine Tango. I think it is quite dramatic. I have run my Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write along the edge of the raised flower - carefully - and used Tangering Tango Watercolour Wonder crayon and aquapainter to colour in the petals.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp: Growing Green
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Card: Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla
Dies: Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Embossing Folder
Accessories: Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon, Tangerine Tango Watercolour Wonder Crayon, Aquapainter

Welcome to the second Tartan Stamper's Blog Hop. If you are starting here, grab a coffee and enjoy the ride.

If you have hopped here from Liz's Blog, I am sure you will agree what fabulous creations she has made.

This time we are celebrating the New Mini Catalogue.

I am so excited about the products being offered in this biggest mini catalogue to date. There are 10 extra pages and of course we have finally got the BIG SHOT.

The Big Shot is a die cutting system and will expand your creativity. There are 23 dies available in this catalogue, 17 of these are EXCLUSIVE to Stampin' Up!

If you would like a free copy then please contact me. Click the link in the side bar to see either a flash version or download a PDF copy.

There are so many great products that my wish list is really LONG!

The first card I would like to share is one that I made for a swap with the rest of the Tartan Stampers.

Less is More - Masculine Challenge

I look forward to Saturdays as the Less is More Challenge for the week is set.

I have been busy this week playing with my new Mini Catalogue goodies that I have forgot to put up any blog posts this week!

I did a commission similar to this but forgot to take a picture (typical). I used the Blender Pen (on offer this month) to pull the ink from the edges of the tree and add a bit more grass at the bottom of the tree. The edges of the card were roughed up a bit with the distressing tool.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp: Lovely as a Tree, Basic Phrases
Ink: Always Articoke, Chocolate Chip
Stamp'n'write: Early Expresso
Card: Naturals Ivory, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: linen thread, Blender Pen, Distressing tool

Less is More Challenge - Off the Page

Snowing here today so perfect for staying inside and crafting - that is my plan but have some sorting to do for the local Scout Jumble sale in a couple of weeks.

Over at Less is More the challenge this week is a one layer card with the theme off the page.

Toby has a birthday party to go to this afternoon so I hit 2 birds with one stone and used this theme to make a card.

I love the Make a Monster stamp set, especially as I have 3 boys!

I felt that there was too much plain white on view so used the Sprtizer tool with the Pacific Point marker to just break it up a little.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp: Make a Monster, Basic Phrases
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Pacific Point
Stamp'n'write: Pacific Point
Card: Whisper White
Accessories: Spritzer Tool, Stampamajig

Less is More Challenge - Pastels - Card2

Yesterday I posted a card that was not really Less is More - Clean and Simply but it had used pastel colours so I went away and created a more suitable card to enter into this week's challenge.

Stamp: Just Believe
Ink: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake
Card: Whisper White, Crumb Cake

Last Day for Sale-a-Bration

The last day of February already.

I love this little trifold card. I think that Wild Wasabi is fast becoming one of my favourtite colours and I am not a green person (more a purple one) as those that know will confirm.

I thought that the paper daisy was a bit plain so
used the Spritzer tool with the Rich Razzleberry Marker so add a bit of interest.

Card: Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry

3 Squares Challenge

I think that my mojo may have made a return!

I have just discovered Less is More, a challenge blog, with the aim of keeping it CAS (clean and simple). This week's challenge is 3 squares.

I am quite pleased with this card and my hubby likes it to!

I must admit that the colour was not going to be Perfect Plum. I had intended to make the squares Baja Breeze but had forgot to clean my brayer!!!!

I made a mask from grid paper using the 1 3/8" sqaure punch.

SUPPLIES:
Stamp Set: Pocket Silhouettes
Card: Whisper White, Perfect Plum
Ink: Baja Breeze - on top of an unclean brayer! Black Staz On, Versamark
Accessories: Black Journaler pen, clear embossing powder

THe tidying the craft room has gone well and I have even managed to put all my scraps into polypockets labelled with the colour - I have a lot of scraps. Maybe I should take a picture of the bulging file. I do aim to use up as much of the scraps as possible.

I seem to keep the tiniest piece of card - good for punching out little things, so keep coming back to see if I have used some scraps!

Thanks for stopping by.

I know that it is probably on the early side but I love the little slider box that i showed you yesterday so wanted to share the Easter box with you. I is big enough to hold a small packet of mini eggs - not shown here as I have yet to buy some!

This was a boy's version and I made a girl's version using So Saffron and Regal Rose. The little bunnies paper is from the Nursery Suite Speciality papers.

Card: Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze
DSP: Nursery Suite Speciality
Accessories: 5/8" Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Corner rounder, sticky strip, Styled Silver hodgepodge hardware, Designer Label large punch

I am working away in the craft room today - trying to tidy up and sort out all the scraps etc that I seem to have found in a box - just wondering what I can do with them?

Gift Box

This is a gift box that I demonstrated at a recent workshop. It was based on a tutorial I found here by a US SU demonstrator Emma Fewkes.

I have used the NEW fancy flower extra-large punch which is now available to order.

The petals have a faux suede/felt effect which I did by using my bone folder and breaking the fibres of the cardstock - do it enough and the cardstock can be peeled apart.

There is a subtle shimmer to the flowers which was done using Champagne shimmer mist mixed with rubbing alcohol and sprayed over. The cover slides of the box.

SUPPLIES
:
Card: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, Fancy Flower extra-large punch, Two-step bird punch, 5-petal flower extra large punch, Boho Blossoms extra-large punch, corner rounder, Basic Pearls.

SUCH a long time

Well, I can't explain where the time has gone since I last blogged - oh I do - we had snow, snow, snow which had to be cleared constantly from the road, then Christmas and for the last few weeks I have been working on a huge commission for a local playgroup - handmade recipe books.

I did have this post sort of ready to go before Christmas but thought I would show you now.

In November, Stampin' Up! held its 2nd European Convention and this time it was in London. All the following photos were taken by the Official Stampin' Up! Convetion photographer.

Me and my "roomie" and sideline Kara waiting in line to register and collect our bags and badges

The Tartan Stampers

The Gala Dinner - the food was very tasty.
Walking the stage for my sales award - did say I was going to be head to toe in Ness - even my bag matched too. Had to wear tartan being from Scotland!

The top 25 UK demonstrators.

I have a workshop tonight so check back to see the project we did.

Thanks for stopping by.
